The Cumby located in Glanville was established in 1870 with new publican Michael Parker driving live original music. On the original music fron Michael is also creating opportunity for performers that have written music but whom have had to perform covers most of their lives to make ends meet bringing up families and never having their original material heard. These local artists will be recorded Live At The Cumby and released on electronic platforms through the newly formed Port Adelaide based Sly Grog Records and Distributed to the world by Ditto Music. To deliver Sly Grog Records into the world, Michael has teamed up with long time music business manager and promoter Darrel Baird from Blue Tongue Management whom has worked with The Angels, Ian Moss, Don Walker, Brewster Brothers, Kevin Borich, Monshine Jug and String Band, The Radiators, Adrain Belew (USA), former AC/DC and current Rose Tattoo Bassist Mark Evans, The Brown Brothers, Darren Jack and a host of youth acts across Australia over 21 years. The inaugural session titled The Original West Enders is supported by West End Brewery and launches at the Semaphore Music Festival 27th September 2018

Boasting two new purpose built stages, Live At The Cumby 'Stage Alphabet’ inside the venue has been named and dedicated to celebrate the life of legendary West End promoter Romauld Josep Szewczuwianiec (R.I.P). or Ron Alphabet as he was better known, for his massive input into the music industry in the region since the 70’s and for his 30 years of service to The Cumberland Hotel. (Ron was quoted by Jimmy Barnes as giving Cold Chisel their first break). Stage Alphabet will be graced with electric Rock, Blues, Rockabilly, Punk, Metal, Country and Psychedelic/Experimental bands. The second stage, situated in the revamped beer garden, now with its own bar and disabled facilities, 'Live At The Garden', will feature acoustic and light electric performers and different genre including blues, country, folk and adult contemporary throughout the summer of 2018/19. The front of the venue is currently being constructed into new outdoor alfresco dining experience ready for the Semaphore Music Festival on the September long-weekend.

Potoč (pronounced Potoch) has spent his music career writing away on his own compositions pretty much in secret hidden away in the family den on the Lefevre Peninsula while performing cover songs to the locals. This talented musicians style is best described as rock on a country guitar by a classically trained musician, Potoč delivers his song lines with his pristine alto vocals. Haven never been given the chance to record and release his original music, this leather clad performer will be showcasing his music at The Semaphore Festival Live At The Cumby.

Adam Cocca first performed in the 1980’s pub rock band Woodstock and later joined High Voltage. Adam has been performing across Adelaide with Acoustic Blonde, however, Adams song writing has been on going through his career with no vehicle to deliver his original music live until now. One voice, one guitar and a whole heap of feel is what you’ll get from this unique and entertaining artist as he performs a selection of his own compositions during The Semaphore Festival.
