- Former regional head promoted to US operations -
Supply chain execution software and services company MARC Global Services has appointed Nic Pollock to vice president and general manager Asia Pacific, following former regional head David Jeffery's promotion to the company's US operations.

Based in Sydney, Pollock will be responsible for expanding MARC Global Services' presence in the Asia Pacific marketplace, along with managing sales, service, finance and administration.

Before joining MARC Global Services, Pollock was Australasian managing director for supply chain integration and visibility software company Viewlocity. He established the company's operations in Australia and New Zealand in 1997 (then Frontec Australia), and set up the regional head office in Sydney. He was responsible for operational, sales and channel activities throughout Australasia and led Viewlocity to develop a significant presence in the region with blue chip customers including Fosters Brewing, AMCOR, Ericsson and Mayne Nickless.

Former Asia-Pacific vice president and general manager David Jeffery will be based at MARC Global Services' corporate headquarters in Dulles, Virginia from February 2002, helping to drive MARC's global expansion plans. Jeffrey has led MARC Global Services' efforts to bring supply chain execution services to the Asia-Pacific region since 1999. He has over 25 years of information technology experience focusing on supply chain management and logistics, and helped the Asia-Pacific office close a record number of contracts in the last year.

"Locally, MARC Global Services has successfully implemented 18 sites for some of Australia's top companies in the last two years," said Jeffrey. "We are already in the planning phase for a potential further 90 sites for our existing clients in the next few years. This puts our business in an enviable position to remain stable and grow through our clients' success."

"I'm delighted to hand over the reigns of our Asia Pacific operations to Nic. He will continue to focus on helping our customers achieve bottom-line results through the latest supply chain technologies," said Jeffrey.
