Introducing the AMT-N6009 from Amtex Electronics
The pulpit is an important environment, from which a great deal of control over the processes of a plant can be wielded. The software and hardware in this environment is often highly specialized or proprietary, meaning finding compatible off-the-shelf display options can be hard to come by.
The MT-N6009 from Amtex Electronics is a 15.1 TFT LCD Panel Monitor with an SV-1600 video controller able to accept Component Video output from a GEM80 Process Logic Controller. It can also receive VGA input from a PC or PAL/NTSC from a camera, or other video signals selectable via the On-Screen Display switch.
All input connectors face the rear: these include 240V power, six BNC female connectors for GEM80 Component Video input and loop output to run multiple displays from one GEM80. Also featured is a PAL/NTSC connector, VGA input female, impendence switch and video mode switching terminals.
The impendence switch is used to change the monitor from loop (multiple displays) to terminate (a single display, or last display on loop). The switching terminals are a two wire input connector, which respond to a momentary contact closure and toggles the display output from the GEM80 to VGA. This can effectively allow for Picture in Picture display.
Panel mounted in a metallic frame with an acrylic bezel, the entire system was designed, developed and manufactured by Amtex Electronics, and as such users are assured of local on-the-ground engineering support.
