Addition of Juniper SRX Series Boosts Verizon Business’ Global Managed Services Lineup
Sydney – AUSTRALIA – 27 September 2010 –
Demand for secure management of key business applications continues to
grow, and Verizon Business is offering enterprises additional
flexibility with a new managed network service based on the Juniper
Networks SRX services gateway series.
The newest addition to
the company’s global managed services portfolio offers multinational
businesses and government agencies around the world another managed
network service option that is integrated with managed security service
support from Verizon Business.
“With the addition of more mobile devices and applications making
use of corporate network resources, customers have strong preferences
for the networking capabilities that best meet their business
communications requirements,” said Anthony Recine, vice president of
network and communications solutions with Verizon Business. “We’re
introducing the extensive capabilities of Juniper’s SRX series with the
reliability and protection of Verizon’s managed network and security
services to pack a powerful one-two-three punch.”
New Platform, More Flexibility
The certification of
the Juniper Networks SRX router series with Verizon’s global portfolio
of managed wide area network services integrated with its security
solutions allows Verizon to design, procure, install, service, and
proactively and securely manage Juniper’s customer-edge routers in 142
countries. Juniper’s SRX routers have also been fully integrated into
Verizon’s managed network design tools, provisioning processes and
network management systems including the company’s innovative IMPACT
system, which provides proactive monitoring and identification, fault
isolation, and resolution and performance reporting.
The Juniper Networks SRX services gateway series complements
Verizon’s managed security solutions based on this platform. Enterprise
clients can now securely integrate their Juniper SRX security platform
with their managed networking solution for strong security and better
risk management. By outsourcing their networking and security needs to
Verizon, businesses can better focus on core responsibilities and take
advantage of a one-device solution for enhanced security and network
management efficiency.
Alex Gray, senior vice president and general manager of Juniper
Branch Solutions Business Unit, said, “Juniper’s SRX series services
gateways’ powerful combination of networking features and deep security
capabilities allows Verizon Business to offer both managed networking
and security services in a single device. Verizon’s customers benefit
from low capital and operating expenses and improved flexibility as
their business needs evolve.”
