Adstream launches first high-definition delivery in Australia
Adstream today announced the launch of High-Definition (HD) delivery, an industry first in Australia, allowing clients to send TV commercials in HD format to HD-equipped TV networks here and in New Zealand.
Adstream Managing Director Peter Miller said: “With TVCs currently shot and edited in HD, it makes complete sense to air them at their highest quality and harness the impact of HD.”
Adstream will provide an end-to-end service with all TVCs undergoing a rigorous quality assurance process by experienced operational staff using SONY HD monitoring equipment to ensure all commercials are stored and distributed at correct specifications.
In particular, the benefits of sending TVCs in HD format include:
- Five times the resolution of Standard-Definition
-Superior audio fidelity
-Enhanced visual detail
Clemenger BBDO Sydney is the first agency in Australia to send a TVC in HD format on behalf of Mitsubishi.
Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited’s Vice-President Customer and Brand Management, Paul Unerkov said: “Mitsubishi Motors and Clemenger are excited to be part of this initiative to bring High-Definition ads to customers. We endeavour to produce inspiring creative and it’s great to see that work celebrated in HD.”
Paul Richardson, Presentation Media Services Manager Broadcast Operations at the Seven Network, said: “The Seven Network has upgraded its presentation systems to High-Definition. This means that advertisements will look truer to their original master as an HD broadcast will allow more detail, colour and clearer audio to reach the viewer. The end result is better quality for your commercial on Seven.”
The Australian and New Zealand commercial HD channels are broadcast in 1080i. Master files can be supplied via Adstream’s FTP software, nVerge, hard drive or tape.
Currently, 7mate in Australia and TV3 in New Zealand are equipped to receive and run true HD files.
