City of Subiaco announces sunday@subi concert series
These free winter concerts are suitable for all ages, and are an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to enjoy an afternoon of arts and culture.
Mayor Heather Henderson said she is very proud of the concert series which has become somewhat of an institution with Subiaco residents, delivering over 500 concerts since its commencement.
“The twenty-third season will not disappoint, there is something for everyone,” Mayor Henderson said.
“The lineup covers an eclectic mix of the very best of Perth’s entertainers, many of whom have enjoyed success in national and international arenas,” she said.
The first concert presents Chamber Jam, produced by North Street Music and introduces a new concept whereby classical pieces are treated with overtones of modern, funk, rock, pop and jazz made famous at Perth jazz club - The Ellington.
Tickets are free and are available on the day from 1.15pm, with concerts starting at 2pm and finishing at 3.30pm, including a short break to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine from the Subiaco Arts Centre bar.
The sunday@subi series is proudly presented by the City of Subiaco and is a free community concert series that covers a mix of themes and genres suitable for all ages. The series runs every Sunday from 18 July to 3 October at the Subiaco Art Centre, 180 Hamersley Road, Subiaco.
