Executive Coaching Pays Off For Five TEC Member Companies
The five TEC member-companies featured in the BRW list of top 100 fast starters include:
- #14 Apricus Australia (Chris Taylor - TEC 14);
- #15 E3 Style (Richard Chen - TEC 44);
- #29 Protegic (Matthew Curtain - TECR 211);
- #54 Plum Communication (Rachael Edginton - TECR 211); and
- #69 Appliance Tagging Services (Ainslie Allen - TECR 204).
The peer-mentoring provided by their TEC groups, together with regular expert speakers, and one-on-one personal and business coaching provided by their TEC Chairs have clearly paid dividends for these business leaders.
To qualify as a BRW Fast Starter, businesses need to be trading since July 2005, with at least two years of fiscal revenue, along with turnover in excess of $500,000 in 08-09. They must have more than one main customer, have the majority of revenue not coming from Government grants or other start-up funding, not be a subsidiary of a multinational, and, if not a public company, have their revenue figures verified by an external auditor/accountant.
