NETGEAR Achieves DOCSIS 3.0 Certification from CableLabs for Cable Modem and Cable Gateway Products

(NASDAQGM: NTGR) a worldwide provider of technologically innovative, branded networking solutions, has achieved DOCSIS^® 3.0 certification in CableLabs^® Certification Wave 71 for its newest Cable Modem, the CMD31B and for several of its Cable Gateways, including the CG3000, CG3100 and CG3200D Wireless-N Voice/Data Cable Gateways. All four products enable cable operators to deliver the most advanced service offerings available to residential and Small- to Medium-sized Business (SMB) customers:

·   NETGEAR’s Cable Labs certified CG3000 Cable Gateway and its European counterpart, the CG3100 Euro Cable Gateway, enable service providers to offer unprecedented speeds on a Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) broadband network, as well as delivering two voice lines. The dynamic CG3000 and CG3100 are future-proof with Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) and are also backwards compatible with EuroDOCSIS 2.0 and EuroDOCSIS 1.1 specifications.
