Polycom Expands Australian Team with Key Sales Executive Appointment for Queensland
Gavin Douglas appointed to the role of Regional Sales Manager for Queensland with a focus on driving local market growth in the healthcare sector
Polycom, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCM), the global leader in standards-based unified communications (UC), today announced the appointment of Mr. Gavin Douglas to the role of Regional Sales Manager for Queensland. As Polycom’s first dedicated territory manager for Queensland, Mr. Douglas’ appointment consolidates national sales coverage in Australia. In his new role, Mr. Douglas is responsible for relationships with existing and new customers, as well as Polycom’s channel network in Queensland, with the goal of increasing market growth and customer adoption of Polycom solutions.
Prior to this role, Mr. Douglas worked at Microsoft Corporation, one of Polycom’s strategic partners, where he held positions across sales, partner management and channel development. He also managed key accounts including Microsoft’s relationship with the Queensland State Government, before spending two years as an alliance partner manager working with Microsoft’s enterprise partners. Mr. Douglas was also responsible for establishing a series of new licensing frameworks designed to improve customer satisfaction.
Most recently, Mr. Douglas was national sales manager, Health & Human Services at Microsoft. Mr. Douglas’s expertise in this area will help Polycom grow in the healthcare sector.
