As such, it is Australia's oldest provider of home nursing and health care services. In 1885, the organisation started with two nurses who provided care, medical help, comfort and food to people in need. It has worked with veterans since WW1. Today, RDNS is a leader in providing quality clinical nursing and care services to people in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. In any given year, RDNS makes more than 2 million visits to over 40,000 people, mainly in their own homes. We offer a wide range of general and specialist care and we operate 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The care we provide enables you to remain in your own home so you can maintain your independence and have some say in your own healthcare. Home nursing is also beneficial if you’re returning home from hospital. We can ease the transition out of a hospital bed and into the familiarity and comfort of your home environment more quickly.
