5 Ways To Decorate Your Window This Christmas

Announcement posted by Victory Curtains and Blinds 15 Nov 2021

Christmas is one of the most popular times of the year to decorate your home. Stuart Clark, interior expert at www.victoryblinds.com.au, shares his top tips for decorating your windows this festive season.

Make Your Own Wreath

It’s easy to make your own, simply take a couple of long branches and form a circle, overlapping them and twisting the ends around one another. Place a wire into each end and add leaves and decorations. It will not only look great to those walking past but also add festive ambiance into your room.

Window Box

Bring some nature to your home and create a fun Christmas window plant box, which makes a vibrant and classy addition to your outdoor decor.  Use a mixture of evergreen plants and add flowers for colour and that seasonal cheer.

Display Your Christmas Cards

Hanging your cards in your window is a low maintenance but vintage way of displaying your seasons greetings. Simply attach a piece of string at either end of your window and use pegs to attach your cards.

Get Festive With Your Window Dressings

To get in the Christmas spirit why not opt for Christmas colours like reds and green for your curtains or blinds. Festive window dressings can embellish and frame a boring window and also add character to your home.

Lights

As the sunshine fades away, fairy lights are a soft and effective way to add subtle lighting to your room and window. They can be draped around your window frame, wrapped around wreaths or placed on your window sill which won’t interfere with any window dressings. Either way, they will add a sparkle to your home and make it more inviting.
