MEL GIBSON SUMMER CITY SEQUEL

Almost 45 years after Mel Gibson made his film debut in Phil Avalon’s SUMMER CITY, Gold Coast film makers Victoria and Alex Fleri are making a sequel called SONS OF SUMMER.
The Fleri’s movie production company, Sons of Summer, is aiming to secure a well known Australian A~Lister for their new movie, starting to film in the first quarter of 2022.
Already in pre-production, the Fleri’s are working alongside Producers Phil Avalon and Tim Maddocks and the movie is set to be made in Queensland. Avalon wrote, produced and starred in Summer City alongside Mel Gibson, John Jarratt, Steve Bisley and Abigail when it was released in 1977.

The Fleri’s are in training to prepare for their new roles in the movie as they will film along side an all star cast. Alex Fleri was shortlisted as a contender to play the new Jack Reacher (series) and his character in the Sons Of Summer movie will be physically testing but he is looking forward to doing his own stunts. The couple are well known on the Gold Coast for selling prestige real estate locally. Their connections in real estate through Amir Prestige will ensure they can utilise some unique locations which will be a boost for the Gold Coast as all eyes are on the Australian film industry right now. Victoria Fleri said “Based on the sales numbers we are seeing from some of our other projects; the movie industry is also proving to be an exciting investment opportunity.
