  • Education Perfect announces the acquisition of EdPotential - a New Zealand based education data analytics software company.
  • EdPotential provides market leading data analytics for schools, enabling teachers to implement targeted solutions to improve student achievement
  • The combining forces will provide unparalleled perspective to schools to help improve performance and student impact.

Education Perfect (EP), ANZ’s leading K-12 education technology provider, which is used by over 2,300 schools in ANZ as well as over 250 international schools around the world, continues to lead the charge to improve learning outcomes inside and outside the classroom. Today, the company announced another milestone - the acquisition of EdPotential, a New Zealand based education data analytics software company.

“The EdTech market is very fragmented and Education Perfect is helping to consolidate content, tools and data analytics for schools leaders and for teachers. The 1m+ K12 students using EP are creating unique data insight on an ongoing basis, and coupling it with EdPotential’s market leading data analytics capability will be a powerful mix that provides unparalleled perspective to schools to help improve performance and student impact”, states Alex Burke, CEO of Education Perfect.

EdPotential enables schools to inquire into their assessment data, analyse to identify gaps and strengths, then act to target solutions that improve student achievement. The software aggregates assessment data and relevant other data inputs, providing school leaders with easy access. EdPotential has been developed in consultation with Kiwi teachers for New Zealand and, more recently, Australian schools. The platform is compatible with any school management system, it can analyse data from any qualifications assessment system (e.g. NCEA, CIE and IB), any standardised test results (e.g. e-asTTle, PAT), and most class or school-based assessments.

“The power of data is still untapped in education. Some schools are experimenting with Business Intelligence (BI) tools - but most are not fit for purpose and complex to use.

EdPotential has been built for school leaders. It provides schools with unique insights, and helps to improve decision making,” states Burke.

Charlie Tomlinson, CEO of EdPotential added, “This is an exciting step for EdPotential. Ever since meeting the EP team, it is clear we're very aligned - not just through our shared Kiwi heritage, our people, but also in our goal to make an impact on learning outcomes. Combining forces will provide immense value to schools.”

About EdPotential:

EdPotential is web-based software that enables schools to inquire into their assessment data, analyse it to identify gaps and strengths, and then act to target solutions that improve student achievement.

The sophisticated analyses are presented as easy-to-understand charts, tables and graphs that provide in-depth evidence about how students are achieving in different subjects, classes and demographic groups – and against national or international norms.

EdPotential not only enables the early identification of students who are struggling, it gives schools confidence that the programmes they offer are providing the right learning opportunities for all their students. More information at https://edpotential.com/
