Orpharma set to launch the Promin low protein food range in ANZ

MELBOURNE, Australia, December 9th 2021 – Orpharma Pty Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has entered into an exclusive agreement with Firstplay Dietary Foods to supply the Promin low protein food range to patients in Australia and New Zealand. Promin products will be available for purchase from Orpharma in early 2022.

The Promin range is manufactured in Cheshire, England, and is distributed globally. This range was launched in 1993, and has become a leading brand in the low protein food products space. The introduction of the Promin range will provide patients, who require a strict low protein diet, with a variety of new, tasty, unique and nutritious meals and snacks. 

The launch of Promin is significant to patients and dietitians, as there is a limited range of specialized low protein food products available in Australia and New Zealand for patients with metabolic dietary disorders. The Promin range consists of seventy unique products, which will ensure that patients have a much wider range of tasty options when deciding what to eat.  
 

The launch of the Promin range in Australia further illustrates Orpharma’s commitment to supporting patients with rare metabolic dietary disorders such as PKU, HT-1, MSUD and HCU. Orpharma already supplies two registered pharmaceutical products (PhebuaneTM and NITYRTM), a range of low protein supplements and is currently supplying the Mevalia low protein food range to this patient group.
