Launches mycaller service for mobile and fixed line operators
Hagemeyer Communications, the newly established telecommunications unit of business-to-business (B2B) distribution services group Hagemeyer NV, has announced an Asia Pacific partnership deal with NMS Communications, a North American provider of sophisticated communications products and services.
Hagemeyer Communications will market and support NMS advanced products and technologies in the South Asia, Australia and New Zealand telecommunications markets.
In addition to representing NMSs building block technologies, Hagemeyer will provide marketing sales and technical support for NMSs system level products. Service offerings will include voice quality and echo cancellation systems which are integrated in central offices and mobile switching centres (MSCs) to provide consistently clear voice quality to mobile and fixed line subscribers. These products connect to the widest variety of network interfaces, offer the highest density at the lowest cost, and deliver highest quality voice during mobile conversations even in the noisiest settings by using the patented Studio Sound software.

Today, Hagemeyer announced the launch of NMSs unique caller tones service, MyCaller, which enables telephone subscribers to select original recordings of popular music, sounds and celebrity voices in place of conventional ringback tones that callers usually hear. Users can also program music to continue to play in the background during a conversation, and customise caller ringtones to individuals or groups of callers. Company jingles and even advertising for business users are also offered in the audio content.
MyCallers audio content can be accessed via the web, IVR, SMS or WAP interfaces. Subscribers can purchase multiple sound clips and then rotate between them for a smaller fee.
