Health ID creates one-stop shop for RFID and RTLS solutions

Announcement posted by Smart Words 07 Mar 2022

Health ID – a leading Australian company specialising in “identity” healthcare solutions – has established a one-stop shop for RFID and RTLS solutions in Australia. In a unique move, Health ID will manufacture its own RFID / NFC labels and supply the latest RFID equipment from Zebra, RAMP, Avery Dennison Smartrac, Impinj and SATO.

Health ID is particularly excited about its new RFID label manufacturing facility in Brisbane. The facility has been purpose-built to produce cost-effective RFID / NFC labels for the Australian healthcare sector. Health ID believes the onshore facility will help alleviate global supply chain issues in relation to imported RFID / NFC labels.

In a bid to help healthcare providers reduce upfront costs, Health ID is focusing on RFID solutions that primarily use “passive” RFID technology. Health ID Director Matthew Candy stresses that passive RFID technology is highly suitable for inventory, asset and medication tracking in the healthcare sector, and doesn’t usually “break the bank.”
