TIP Group acquires Julia Lee's Burman Invest

Teaminvest Private Group Limited (ASX: TIP) has acquired its first retail fund, an Australian equities manager founded by one of Australia’s best-known financial experts.

Burman Invest is a high conviction, index unaware fund managed by Julia Lee, who is well known to viewers of Bloomberg, CNBC, ABC and Sunrise, and appears regularly on radio and internet and in industry publications. 

Lee, who is also on the board of directors of the Australian Stockbrokers Foundation, will be moving from her role as Chief Investment Officer at Burman Invest to work in a global role.

Burman Invest's new operators will be TIP Group in partnership with professional services firm Enva. The latter's chairman, Michael Baragwanath, is the Responsible Manager for Spaceship Super, a Rainmaker AAA-rated superannuation fund with more than 200,000 customers.
