CAMBERWELL Fitness enthusiasts from beginners through to professionals will be the first to trial the revolutionary XKal Fitness (XKal) Tap, Train,Track app during a MVP Beta launch at Anytime Fitness, Camberwell Victoria this Wednesday.
Founded by Peter Musco, the XKal Fitness App aims to empower users to take control of their fitness goals through technology that takes the guesswork out of the correct use of equipment and the ability to accurately track their performance.
In collaboration with world-leading technology firm, Nakatomi, Peter Musco consulted with industry experts to create a solution that enables users to “tap, train, track” their workouts through revolutionary near frequency communication (NFC) and simple, clear and concise video tutorials (VT).
“Used exclusively in participating gyms, we’ve partnered with the leading fitness centres in the country to create the world's first comprehensive, on demand instructional & tracking App for gym-goers,” said Musco.
“From today, our video tutorials will provide Anytime Fitness Camberwell members with simple, clear and concise videos on what body muscle each piece of equipment is engineered to target, how to safely set up each machine and how to correctly operate each machine,” he said.
“So if it’s been a while since you’ve used the leg-press machine? Don’t worry, a series of instructional videos, formatted in a short TikTok/Instagram style are available to users through our smart stickers located on each machine,” said Musco.
The XKal Training App will be provided to all Anytime Fitness Camberwell members free of charge during both Beta testing and commercialization.
The fit-tech start up is one of six Australian companies selected by the Victorian Government to be a part of the LaunchVic Accelerator Program designed to accelerate the commercialisation of ideas at both a national and international level.
In collaboration with the Australian Sports Technology Network (ASTN) and the Global Sports Innovation Centre (GSIC), XKal has already launched its very first Beta MVP pilot at In2Performance, Noble Park Victoria, which is one of the largest and most sophisticated privately owned high performance centres in Australia.
XKal fitness is also scheduled to launch its third MVP at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra later this year.
