Take a raunchy trip of fanciful frivolity down memory lane to relive Burlesque with a star-studded lineup of aerialists, acrobats, contortionists, jugglers and comedy from around the world. The festivities of frisky fun are all emceed by the Statuesque Burlesque Beauty herself, Porcelain Alice, Miss Burlesque NSW of 2019 at Aerialize in Canterbury on the 6th August.

 

Porcelain Alice - is an award-winning burlesque performer and host, and has been a resident showgirl at various long-running weekly events at venues including, The Cats Meow, Frankies Pizza, and The Bavarian Beir House and Cherry Bar (2017-2021). As an emcee, Alice currently hosts re-occurring cabaret, and variety shows The Royal Heart Revue, Ooh La La Burlesque, and Wanted and Wild. Additionally, she hosts the quarterly, Heartstoppers, produced by Sky Sirens the studio at which Alice teaches burlesque and has done since they opened in 2016. No stranger to circus tents and dusty floors, Alice has performed at festivals across Australia. She has both performed and produced shows for Secret Garden Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Sydney Festival and Sydney Fringe and headlined The Winter Magic Festival and Townsville Cultural Festival (2016-2020). Alice booked over 40 acts for the two-week run of Sideshow Alley for Spectrum Now Festival (2016) and now you are pretty much caught up! 

 

Under Porcelain Alice’s watchful eye you can marvel at the fearless acrobatic stunts of our top-shelf talent and wince at the twisted shapes from our eye-popping contortionists and appreciate why audiences around the globe queue to see them.

Melise Avion - Creative genius, choreographer and producer of shows in Sydney and internationally, and owner of Sydney's southwest Circus school Avion Aerial Circus School

Gemima Jones - multi-award-winning ground hand balancer and contortionist and aerialist, originating from the Avion Aerial Circus School for which she is the head coach, 

James Bustar- Comedian and Juggler. Cruise ship entertainer and international artist, 

Kylie Simpson- owner of circular entertainment. A Sydney cooperate circus artist in both ground and aerials. She is one of the few Cyr wheel artists in Sydney 

Blake Wilson - self-confessed Hula hoop freak, 

Shaunah Johnson - Miss Lyra winner 2018 Advance division. ex NICA student, 

Kasey Parker - Background Dancer, started performing professionally at 15 years of age in both circus and dance. Multiple national dance, acrobat, aerial tissue and Lyra winner.
