The TrustRadius Tech Cares awards recognise businesses that demonstrate excellent corporate social responsibility, and TOPdesk has won the award for the third consecutive year.
“It’s a testament to our company ethos to be recognised for this prestigious award,” said TOPdesk Australia General Manager Robert van der Gulik. “At TOPdesk, our belief is that company culture is the most important reason behind our success.
“We foster a workplace culture that gives our team members the opportunity to grow. We value our employees’ wellbeing, and our goal is to drive employee happiness.”
Ten2Grow, a new company-wide initiative aimed to stimulate employee growth where employees can dedicate 10 per cent time and budget (based on salary) on personal growth and development opportunities, is a great example of how TOPdesk is committed to supporting its team.
Another recent example of this goal in action is TOPdesk Australia’s work from abroad policy, which allows employees to work anywhere in the world for 60 days of the year.
The idea for policy came about when TOPdesk employee, Laura Domingo, struggling with extended separation from her family, asked if she could work from abroad. TOPdesk Australia successfully trialled the remote work practice and it was formalised into a policy in August 2022.
Two employees have already successfully worked from overseas in Spain and Fiji.
“It’s fantastic to work for an employer who listens and cares,” said Domingo. “I've just returned from working in Spain and visiting with family was exactly what I needed.”
“We know that flexible workplaces allow employees to have a better work life balance and make for more fulfilled team members. This brings benefits not just for our people but also our customers and our company,” said van der Gulik.
“TOPdesk Australia team members come from all over the world, so the work from abroad policy is perfect. It gives us ability to be present with loved ones overseas and make memories that sustain us while away!”
Opportunities to give back to the community are also encouraged at TOPdesk. The TOPdesk Australia team chose to get together to donate blood and plasma at the local blood bank.
TOPdesk Australia’s office opened in Melbourne in 2019, and the Australian business recently welcomed Robert van der Gulik as General Manager from TOPdesk Canada.
Tech Cares Award nominations are open to organisations and individuals and nominations are vetted by the TrustRadius research team.
