Global sensation LIGHTSCAPE has its Sydney debut as part of Vivid Sydney 2023

For the very first time the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney is the setting for, what promises to be, a spectacular illuminated trail. This winter Lightscape will illuminate the iconic Garden as part of Vivid Sydney 2023 in keeping with this festival’s creative direction, “Vivid Sydney, Naturally”. 

Lightscape, an internationally acclaimed multi-sensory experience of light, colour and sound, will run from 26 May until 16July and is set to wow visitors of all ages.   

The after-dark oasis of botanical brilliance will take visitors under glowing tree canopies filled with colour, strolling beneath larger-than-life flowers and alongside neon roots bursting from the undergrowth. Shards of light will fizz through trees like fireworks and visitors can soak in the breath-taking lightworks created by the best local and international artists. 

In partnership with world-class locations around the world, Sony Music has produced sell-out timed entry trails globally, with the installations changing at each venue and every year, it is never the same twice and strives to be always original. So Lightscape as part of Vivid Sydney will be unique to Sydney. It is designed around the landscape of the Royal Botanic Garden, revealing the heritage trees and iconic structures including The Calyx (pictured) in a new light.
