WÜSTHOF BRINGS COLOUR AND PERSONALITY TO THE KITCHEN

Announcement posted by WÜSTHOF 03 Apr 2023

Your Taste. Your Knife. Your Choice of Colour.

Continuing to lead the way in design and innovation, today WÜSTHOF, the Solingen-based premium knife manufacturer, releases the WÜSTHOF Classic Colour knife series through stores globally.

Combining 5 stylish colours with 8 practical blade shapes, the new WÜSTHOF Classic Colour series offers a truly impressive variety and captures the zeitgeist of cooking … transforming the kitchen from a workplace to one of enjoyment and personality.

This series, an extension of the iconic WÜSTHOF Classic series, is meeting customers’ wishes for more colour, particularly desired among younger generations, and aligns with the trend for a more individual style of kitchen design.

The WÜSTHOF Classic Colour series sees the form and function of impeccably crafted knives united with distinct, beautiful and emotive colours.

This pairing allows customers to create a collection of knives that match their personalities … and why shouldn’t your number-one cooking companion reflect your own individual spirit?

Five Colours: from Himalayan Salt to Tasty Sumac

The names of the five unique colours in the WÜSTHOF Classic Colour series are inspired by the culinary world and include Pink Himalayan Salt, Coral Peach, Purple Yam, Tasty Sumac and Velvet Oyster.

As for the colours themselves, WÜSTHOF took a much broader approach when developing these, as explains Björn Berger, WÜSTHOF Product Designer.

“With WÜSTHOF Classic Colour we present a new design selection with liveries inspired by fashion, architecture and art. This concept and the combination of colours see a unique and avant-garde selection of knives dressed to become real ‘it-pieces’”.

Eight blade shapes

The Classic Colour series is technically identical to the WÜSTHOF Classic — the WÜSTHOF knife that has been winning fans worldwide for generations.

As with the Classic series, the fully forged knives in the Classic Colour series have optimal balance and high stability, thanks to the full tang and impressive sharpness that allows precise movements.

Each knife, made in Solingen, Germany, goes through 55 separate production steps — a great example of German engineering skills.

The complete WÜSTHOF Classic Colour series can be brought as a set, in a block or as individual knives and consists of a:
