After months of planning, judging and waiting, the 2023 Samsung Australian IT Journalism Awards are finally here.
For everyone attending the awards this Friday, here's some essential housekeeping -
Date: Friday May 12th from 6.30pm
Venue: Crystal Ballroom, Luna Park
Dress Code: Black Tie
Best Dressed Theme: 21st.

This year foundation partners and Best Dressed Award hosts Watterson Marketing Communications have set a theme of "21st Birthday". The best dressed award is open to all Journalist entrants at the awards, but everyone is free to have fun with the theme if they wish. (If you'd like more guidance on dress code, or just want to revisit the fun, please visit last year's photo gallery here.)

On the night
Please arrive for a 6.30 start. The park's Ferris Wheel is open for rides from 6.30 to take in the harbourside lights ahead of our formal start from 7.15, with official opening remarks from the Hon Michelle Rowland from 7.30pm. We expect the evening to finish around 11.30pm.
Livestream from 8pm
This year our livestream partner Cisco adds their technical expertise, allowing entrants to engage and accept awards awards through their Webex system.
The livestream will go live from 7.45pm on Friday for all the award coverage, with awards live from 8pm. Your link for that viewing stream is here. (Remote finalists will be sent a seperate email with instructions for following along and joining live presentations.)
