James Bustar, the renowned comedy juggler, has achieved incredible milestones since his graduation from the esteemed Flying Fruit Fly Circus.

His journey from overcoming adversity to becoming one of the most booked and successful acts in the industry is a testament to his talent, resilience, and unwavering passion for his craft.

Originally from the UK, Bustar's path to success was not without challenges. After enduring severe bullying at a private school in Sydney, he made the brave decision to leave at the age of 14 and join the Flying Fruit Fly Circus school. Over the next five years, he honed his skills in circus arts, with a particular focus on juggling, under the guidance of his main trainer, Per Westman. Fruit Fly Circus became the platform for Bustar's growth, allowing him to tour the world and perform at prestigious events such as the Commonwealth Games, World Expo Japan, and the reopening of Luna Park.
 

Even during his time at Fruit Fly Circus, Bustar showed entrepreneurial spirit by establishing his own side business as "Buster Juggler," captivating audiences with street shows and entertaining at small corporate events. His dedication and talent caught the attention of industry peers, including UK comedy juggler Pete Matthews and the comedy juggling duo "Howie and Bert," who played pivotal roles in guiding Bustar's career.
 

Bustar's dream of becoming a headliner show performer on cruise ships began to materialize after leaving Fruit Fly Circus. Starting as a street performer at Circular Quay, he gradually garnered recognition and landed a job offer from Huis Ten Bosch, a theme park in Japan, where he showcased his skills for a year. Returning to his roots, Bustar then joined Club Med Lindeman Island, where he served as a circus GO, teaching juggling and circus skills, including the exhilarating flying trapeze. It was during his time at Club Med that the opportunity to perform on cruise ships emerged.
 

At the remarkable age of 21, Bustar embarked on his cruise ship journey, becoming one of the youngest acts in the business to achieve such a feat. Now, at 36 years old, his success continues to soar as one of the most sought-after and celebrated performers in the industry.
 

However, Bustar's journey was not without its challenges, particularly during the unprecedented times of the pandemic. In response, he became a dedicated advocate for fellow performers, using his platform to raise awareness about the impact of the pandemic on the entertainment industry.
