Australia’s most satisfied customers for 2023 revealed across banking, insurance, energy and telecommunications

Thursday, 18 May, 2023: Leading money-saving and comparison site Mozo has today released the results of the 2023 Mozo People’s Choice Awards, an annual report card on customer satisfaction across a number of industries including banking and finance, insurance, energy and telecommunications. 

Over 3,800 Australians took part in the national survey to determine Australia’s favourite brands and products, with customers rating providers on a range of factors including customer service, trustworthiness and overall satisfaction. 912 brands and services were rated by Australians in the 2023 awards assessment. 

Bank Australia, Heritage Bank, Greater Bank and digital bank Up, were this year’s big winners across banking, while state motoring associations and specialist insurers such as APIA, NRMA, RACQ, RACV and RAC led the awards tally in the car and home insurance categories. Private health insurance providers Teachers Health, Defence Health and CBHS Corporate were also big winners, taking out awards across three or more categories each.    

Challenger brands in energy and telecommunications were also recognised with Red Energy, Aussie Broadband and AldiMobile among those scooping awards for outstanding customer satisfaction.

“As well as overall satisfaction, we also confer awards based on ratings of trust, service, key product features and whether customers would recommend the brand to others.  A Mozo People’s Choice Awards badge not only gives recognition to providers that are delivering on these important aspects, but it is also a symbol of trust for consumers in guiding them to make more informed purchasing decisions,” he added.

• Broadband: Aussie Broadband, Exetel, iiNet
• Mobile Plan: AldiMobile, Amaysim, Woolworths
