Video their Story at Home

Today at the Launch, My Video Memories announced immediate availability of The website, enabling families access to recording their video memories from their own home

“It’s ideal in lockdown time, allowing family history to be told by the family for the whole family to enjoy” said Tim Martin* Founder and CEO, at My Video Memories.

Many customers have used the website as a means of Gift Giving as it enables family history to be kept for generations to view and remember. The website. www.myvideomemories.com.au is simple to use and a thrill to give as a present.

Covid has caused many problems however if you are an entrepreneur you may find this the time to invent a new product and Video maker Tim has made the most of his lockdown

He decided that the thing people seek most in lockdown is, family. It is good that you can talk on Zoom and Facetime with your family however it is those longer stories that are missed. Reminisces about the “good old days”.

That’s why Tim decided to build a new service called My Video Memories (myvideomemories.com.au).

MVM emails people for 5 or 10 weeks and ask them a question each week about their history. They email back their video answer and MVM then splice the videos together, add some music and billboards and send it back to them as a combined, edited, enhanced video memory to share with family friends. This memory can be kept for years to come. The service can all be done from home and is ideal for families stuck at home during lockdown and travel restrictions.

The service is aimed at the older generation and its simple Select the package you want to use:

  • 5 Question Package
  • 10 Question Package
  • Zoom Meeting Interview
  • Bespoke Package

When users receive their weekly email, they open the camera on their phone and select Video. Answer the question of the week and then email it back to MVM (with photos if required).

Tim stated “There are many times that I look back and say, I wish I had asked my 96 year old Grandmother Ba, questions about……..” This is the opportunity to ask those questions and get an answer on video, which you can keep forever

There are more sophisticated options of a Zoom interview and an “At Home” version where we send a producer, camera man and interviewer to their home to do the bespoke version

“In these times of lockdown this is a great gift for anybody to give to their family” said Tim “we have been enormously successful with a lot of young people using it as a way to remember family stories that their parents and grandparents have stored in their mind. Now it is on Video for ever”

Not only that, it is good to see that even in Covid times what has caused many problems, a Video man has made the most of his lockdown and provided a service for those most vulnerable locked at home.
