OnPlan announces ERP Integration for Digtial Mobility Solution

Announcement posted by OnPlan Technologies Pty Ltd 08 Jun 2023

Delivering an end-to-end Maintenance Documentation to Execution Solution for SAP, Pronto, JDE, Oracle + More

The Australian-made documentation and workflow platform for asset management, OnPlan, now integrates with the ERP solutions that dominate the international heavy industry sector.

ERP integration has been a priority for OnPlan’s Brisbane-based development team, who sought to automate the digitisation of maintenance work orders for execution.

New integration between OnPlan and SAP, Oracle, JDE, Pronto, and Maximo facilitates the seamless digital documentation, execution, and record of maintenance work, improving efficiencies, visibility, and control over processes.

Sites can generate digital work orders directly from their ERP or CMMS for access by technicians in-field, or on the workshop floor.

Work orders generated by OnPlan can be printed, or output in a mobile-ready format to digitally capture a record of work such as equipment inspections and general maintenance tasks via mobile device.

OnPlan data is captured in real time, and a record of work is sent to the ERP for historical records.

“For decades now, the industry has known that mobile, digital maintenance workflows are not only more efficient, but they reduce risk of unplanned downtime or site safety due to the high chance of missing something with paper-based processes,” said OnPlan CEO, Stuart Burckhardt.

“Despite the obvious cost and time savings however, asset management operations find the process of transforming their paper-based systems, including documentation and record-keeping processes extremely tough; it’s hard to know where to get started for some, and near impossible to gain momentum or scale,” he said.

“Marking up a PDF on a tablet is not working digitally. It still requires double-handling, edits are tedious, and it fails to leverage all the dynamic that’s possible with a truly digital document.”

“That’s why we originally developed OnPlan. Our own teams at AssetOn were seeking to document maintenance instructions in a truly digital format in a scalable way for multiple maintenance operations. We couldn’t find a solution, so built the platform. Our maintenance-centric data structure and documentation workflow has made our clients 60% faster at building their digital forms, checklists, and instructions.”

It's often overlooked, but digital documentation and real-time recording of maintenance execution are necessary for mobility, analytics, and more advanced Industry 4.0 initiatives like AI-powered condition-based monitoring.

“The work that goes into printing multiple documents for work packs, including work orders, maintenance checklists, and forms can now be reallocated to other areas of the business, like continuous improvement,” he said.

OnPlan is currently installed across natural resources, mining services, and equipment manufacturing operations in Australia and overseas.
