EXPERTS NAME AUSTRALIA’S BEST BANKING AND MONEY MANAGEMENT APPS OF 2023

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Thursday 15 JUNE 2023: Australian financial comparison website Mozo has today announced the winners of the 2023 Mozo Experts Choice Awards for Mobile Banking and Money Management Apps. 

The announcement follows the recently released Customer Trends Report by the Australian Banking Association which revealed that 98.9% of total transactions are now made online and via apps and that banking customers are most satisfied with digital channels. 

For the 2023 awards, 74 banking providers and 13 money management apps were compared head to head according to criteria identified by Mozo’s banking experts to be the most important and useful app functions. 

Banking apps are those offered by banks to customers to manage their accounts and transactions, while Money Management Apps allow users to view accounts across multiple banks and institutions in order to help them visualise and budget.

“Customers are no longer tied to physical locations, and this is why it's so important for banks to go beyond the basics with their online and app experience,” said Peter Marshall, Mozo Experts Choice Awards Judge. “It is not enough for a banking app or online portal to be functional - to gain customers’ loyalty, it now also needs to be intuitive to use and provide rich experiences, especially with so much choice available.”
