The Hallora Marathon was initiated in 2015 by Daniel, the event president, with a deep personal connection to the cause. Inspired by his friend Sarah Porter's battle with Leukaemia and his Pa's struggle with prostate cancer at Peter Mac, Daniel saw an opportunity to make a difference.

Ever since, the Hallora Marathon Festival has been held annually, fuelled by the stories of those who faced similar challenges.

We are dedicated to raising funds that enable individuals like Sarah and Daniel's Pa to receive optimal treatment and lead fulfilling lives.

The Hallora Marathon is a community-driven event, supported wholeheartedly by The Baw Baw Shire Council, our sponsors, and local businesses.

Join us at the finish line in Western Park, Warragul, for an unforgettable experience. The uplifting atmosphere of enthusiastic spectators will encourage every participant to cross the finish line with pride.

After the races, enjoy music, MCs, merchandise, food, drinks, and a community BBQ fundraiser hosted by The Pharaoh's Angels.

At the heart of our mission lies Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, a world-leading institution dedicated to cancer research, education, and treatment.

As Australia's sole public health service exclusively focused on caring for cancer-affected individuals, Peter Mac has over 3,300 staff, including more than 750 researchers committed to improving cancer treatments, care, and potential cures.

Through your generous donations, we have made a meaningful impact on Peter Mac's work:

  • 2019: $7,456
  • 2020: No donations due to government restrictions
  • 2021: $21,000
  • 2022: $23,534

The Hallora Marathon Festival is not just an event; it is a celebration of family and community. We welcome everyone to join us on Sunday, December 10th, 2023, for an extraordinary day of fitness, fun, and support. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against cancer.
