Agency shifts focus to a more strategic advisory approach to integrated communications

Sydney, Australia - 20 September 2023 - Strategic consulting agency Espresso Communications today announces the appointment of Jasmine Mayo as Group Account Director. Espresso is a full-service public relations agency with expertise supporting clients in deep-technology sectors including AI, cybersecurity, quantum computing, telecommunications, and space.

Jasmine joins Espresso Communications after spending over 13 years leading communication campaigns for startups as well as global technology powerhouses including Electronic Arts, SEGA, and NetEase. In her previous roles, she specialised in developing communication strategies and implementation processes for emerging consumer technologies. These companies innovate in areas including natural language processing, AI, and product development for multi-platform framework.

Employing her knowledge from global media relations, Jasmine will be responsible for driving strategy development across Espresso's suite of clients overseeing its public relations and consulting activity. She will work closely with Espresso Communications Managing Director Cath Arnott, who is empowering Jasmine to utilise her international mindset and translate market entry analysis for companies looking to thrive in the ANZ region.

"Jasmine is a results-driven professional with global experience and a strong ability to solve sophisticated communications challenges that fast-growth companies often encounter, including helping the market and the public understand the benefits that complex technologies enable," said Cath.

"In line with our reputation as trusted advisors, Jasmine will assess communications holistically and strategise with clients' broader business objectives front-of-mind. She will also drive the Hello Espresso group's expansion into professional consulting services across a new range of disciplines."

Espresso has been in business for over 19 years and readily adapted as the tech and media landscape has evolved, driven by a goal to support innovation and promote the success of future-forward industries with the potential to provide better outcomes for Australians.

"Espresso Communications has a long history of working with a diverse mix of innovative industries, including both distinct Australian grown organisations and large multinational corporations. ANZ is an interesting market for many companies to tackle because while purchasing power and corporate structure in the tech industry tends to mirror the US, the media landscape, trends, and behaviours do not," said Jasmine.

"I've spent the last eight years specifically helping startups gain share of voice in new and crowded markets. I'm excited to dig in, get creative, and apply some of these tactics to our clients' campaigns leveraging their data, insights, and stories to share with press in meaningful and relevant ways."

To date, Espresso has helped over 135 tech companies enter the Australian market and currently works with a diverse set of clients in enterprise and emerging technologies.
