Australia's first online sustainability-focused shopping event, Green Friday, has partnered with Biotuff and a range of Australian brands across various categories to encourage consumers to shop mindfully this year.

The digital event - launched in 2021 - aims to tackle Australia's mass-consumption habits through peak shopping periods, where Australians can sometimes make hasty online purchases, many of which end in landfills.

"Biotuff is very proud to be part of this wonderful event that encourages Australians to shop sustainably," Nadia Steele from Biotuff says. Scheduled for October 27th - November 3rd, Biotuff will showcase ethical and sustainability-focused offerings on selected products, giving consumers the time to slow down and 'buy better'.

 Green Friday is a startup based in Botany, Sydney and was founded by a team of people passionate about reducing the environmental impact shopping can cause. After starting Releaseit, a rental marketplace where sustainability and circularity are always top of mind, its founders knew there was more to be done to disrupt retail consumerism. That's how Green Friday was born.
