The Power of 'No': How a Mullumbimby Sauce Maker is Changing Australia's Food Landscape

Announcement posted by zanthii communications 31 Oct 2023

Lambruk Pantry, a young and dynamic sauce-making company based in Mullumbimby, is shaking up the Australian food industry.

Founded by Paige Brierley in 2020, the company is on a mission to revolutionise the sauce market with its preservative-free, flavour-packed sauces and chutneys.

"Our commitment to using only fresh, local ingredients and refusing to use fillers is what really sets us apart from the competition," said Ms Brierley.

This unwavering commitment has already begun to pay off, with the company being awarded the Bronze medal for its Blueberry and Apple Sauce at the prestigious Royal Melbourne Sweet Dressing and Sauces 2023 competition in July.

Ms Brierley's innovative approach to sauce-making has resulted in versatile products that can be used as an accompaniment to both sweet and savoury dishes.

"Our Blueberry and Apple Sauce is a perfect alternative to traditional apple sauce so it's delicious with both pork or pancakes," said Ms Brierley.

Lambruk Pantry's success is deeply rooted in its commitment to working closely with local farmers across Australia. The company sources produce from numerous farms including Jumping Red Ant at Duranbah, Southview Orchard at Hogarth Range and Greenhill Orchards at Armidale.

"Every bottle of Lambruk Pantry's products is a testament to the true essence of local produce such as lemons, limes, oranges, mangoes, and even fruits from backyard trees," said Ms Brierley.

"Each bite is a celebration of the rich agricultural heritage of Australia and a tribute to the hardworking farmers who make it all possible."

By supporting Lambruk Pantry, consumers are not just enjoying delicious, preservative-free food but also supporting local farmers, preserving authentic flavours, and contributing to the sustainability of the local economy.

Ms Brierley encourages all Australians to be part of this journey.

"Let's support our local farmers and produce," she said.

"Let's celebrate the authentic flavours of our land. Let's make our community stronger and more sustainable. Together, we can make a difference."

Increased support from local traders would have a win-win impact not only on Lambruk Pantry but also on the entire community.

By having local traders stock Lambruk Pantry's products, the business can produce more, directly benefiting local farms by sourcing their produce.

"Local support forms the cornerstone of our mission," said Ms Brierley. "It would be wonderful if our local area becomes our biggest supporter."
