Employee Journey Platform Pyn launches world’s first Employee Journey Designer

Announcement posted by Pyn 08 Nov 2023

Sydney, NSW: Today, Pyn launches the Employee Journey Designer, a new free tool that lets HR leaders curate, prioritize, and collaborate on their own Employee Journey Map.

Pyn already powers the Employee Journey at great brands like Carta, MongoDB, and SimilarWeb.

With Pyn's new tool, every HR team can improve the experience for their workers. "This is the biggest Open Source HR software tool to launch this decade," Pyn cofounder Joris Luijke explains.

Pyn is backed by Accel, Andreessen Horowitz and other investors. Rich Wong, General Partner at Accel says, "We see a new wave of tools to enable companies to set up successful Hybrid organizations and Pyn is one of the tools leading the way. Jon Williams and Joris Luijke are two founders with deep domain expertise and startup experience. They are the ideal team to solve this challenging space."

In many industries, hybrid work is now the norm. With that, the digital employee experience has become just as important as the physical one. One big question many leaders are facing now is: how can we proactively shape the remote employee experience?

To create a positive and cohesive experience for employees, Pyn's Employee Journey Designer enables companies to craft the experience end-to-end; mapping the employee journey from first to last day.

Similar to the way a Customer Journey Map used by Marketing teams depicts the stages a customer goes through when making a purchase, an Employee Journey Map depicts the stages employees go through when interacting with their company.

Balbina Knight, VP People & Culture at Thrive, explains her experiences with Pyn's new tool: "This is a dream tool for any People team. It helps automate manual communication touchpoints so you can focus more on the work, and less on having to worry about completing communication checklists."

Employee Experience (EX) and Journey Mapping now top priorities

A few years ago, The Great Reshuffle put the Employee Experience at the top of many corporate priorities. HR Analyst, Josh Bersin, wrote "Employee Experience has become a crusade. Every HR and IT department is focused on it." A detailed McKinsey study reported that, in the New HR Operating Model, "Excelling along the employee journey has the most impact."

Companies miss a clear framework for improving the employee experience. It can be overwhelming for lean HR teams to find the time to proactively plan for all the moments that matter.

It's such a complex process that long-term planning is often sacrificed for short term wins. Or when companies do create an Employee Journey Map, it's difficult to maintain, update, and share with leaders outside of the HR team.

Pyn's Employee Journey Designer brings HR teams together to collaborate, while providing an easy-to-use journey map framework with which to begin.

Product

Pyn designs and activates the employee experience at companies. HR teams can organize all Moments that Matter in the employee journey and send personalized employee communications when needed.

Pyn provides a single view of what every employee is experiencing at any given time. This single view lets HR teams organize information for employees that is both relevant and timely.

With Pyn, no important moment is missed and helpful information is fully utilised, making employees feel more supported and confident throughout their journey.

With people working remotely in different countries, it is harder to track these important moments while also considering local or individual context such as timezones, jurisdictions, or a person's job experience.

Pyn integrates with existing tools like Slack, Workday, and other workplace systems to scan for important events that happen such as a promotion or a new hire.
