ASX-listed bio-tech company BCAL Diagnostics has announced it will hold a complimentary community information day at Sydney Breast Clinic at 4pm, Monday 20 November 2023 for an interactive panel discussion with a number of breast cancer specialists, including world-renowned breast surgeon Dr Sanjay Warrier as well as mammographers, radiologists, and BCAL's Executive Chair Ms Jayne Shaw.
The session will be hosted by digital editor, founder of Style by Yellow Button and breast cancer survivor Claire Fabb, with other special guests to include founder of young women's breast cancer charity So Brave Rachelle Panitz, world renowned radiographer Professor Mary Rickard and Breast Surgeon Dr Kuan - Chi Wang.
Ms Shaw will discuss BCAL Diagnostics ground-breaking blood screening tool, BREASTESTTM, that is intended for use alongside traditional breast cancer screening methods such as mammography, which is due for release to clinicians in 2024. The blood test is in its final validation phase, with blood samples sought from a wide cross-section of women to fortify its accuracy.
Sydney Breast Clinic is currently the only holistic facility where a patient can receive imaging and /or mammography in the morning, a diagnosis a few hours later and commence a treatment plan with a specialist all on the same day with no need to wait weeks for results, meaning women can start to fight the disease immediately.
