The Tasmanian Government has joined other Australian states in announcing a rebate of $2000 to eligible Tasmanians capped at 375 purchasers by 31 December 2023, meaning those looking to capitalise on a huge discount on their electric vehicle will need to get in fast to avoid disappointment. For the BYD ATTO 3, BYD Automotive will add a further $500 rebate top-up, meaning purchasers can driveaway an award-winning BYD ATTO 3 from $48,035.
Luke Todd, CEO and MD of BYD Automotive's Australian distributer EVDirect.com, says, "Just as we did for Victorians before their Government's electric vehicle rebate ended on 30 June this year, it is important for us as a company to now rally for those in Tasmania, and our Hobart Experience Centre has in stock BYD ATTO 3's to fully accommodate the 375 rebates that are available."
BYD Automotive currently has in place a dedicated rebate team Australia-wide - including a hotline 1300 293 288 and online response team at evrebates@automotive.com.au - to accommodate what is expected to be a busy purchasing period for those looking to take advantage of the EV Rebate.
To date, BYD Automotive Australia - has sold over 12,000 EV's in the country with 301,833 sold just last month globally. It has also added two new models to the marketplace this year, including the BYD SEAL Sedan starting delivery from December 2023, and the BYD DOLPHIN which started deliveries in October 2023.
Mr Todd added that the BYD DOLPHIN and SEAL models will also be available to purchasers looking to take advantage of the $2000 rebate by ordering before 31 December 2023.
