Announcement posted by Oxford International Education Group 18 Jan 2024

"Building back better" after Covid and in response to rapidly changing market dynamics globally has been the key to defining which institutions have succeeded and which have found themselves challenged in the face of changing student expectations, rising costs and erosion of traditional markets.

Sydney, 18 January 2024: Oxford International Education Group (OIEG), a global education provider dedicated to creating life-enhancing experiences for students worldwide, and The University of Notre Dame Australia, the leading university in Australia for overall graduate employment with a reputation for providing an outstanding student experience, have partnered to establish a world-class overseas recruitment operation to enhance opportunities for students at Notre Dame and internationalise the learning environment in the context of the new expectations of students and future developments in global higher education.

OIEG's global team will support recruitment and integration of students at campuses in Fremantle and Sydney through the deployment of 250 specialist staff in 50 locations worldwide that access a global recruitment platform, including over 2,500 recruitment agents. This will be supplemented by joint measures to ensure integration and subsequent success of students through the creation of a global learning environment and tailored educational services.  This partnership will see an innovative new operational model and platform for growth established at a time when the global higher education sector searches for effective responses following the recent pandemic and changes in student decision making.

OIEG has a long track record of effective partnership in Europe and North America, working to drive recruitment, build institutions' reputations, and developing and delivering internationalisation initiatives.

The University of Notre Dame Australia has more than 11,000 enrolled students and is recognised for its modern approach to teaching and is ranked as the number one higher education provider in Perth and Sydney for student support. Internationalisation of its unique focus on teaching quality and employability, will make these benefits available to students globally for the benefit of all students, staff and the communities it serves.
