INTEL AUSTRALIA APPOINTS ANNA TORRES PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER, ANZ

Intel Australia today announced the appointment of Anna Torres as Public Relations Manager, Australia and New Zealand.  In her new role, Torres will be responsible for Intel’s communications activities across both countries.
Torres has more than five years experience with Intel, most recently in the role of Strategic Relationship Manager, ANZ. Her responsibilities included the enablement and marketing for Intel ViivÔ Technology, Intel’s branded platform for the digital home, working with internet service providers, digital content producers and hardware manufacturers in this segment.
Kate Burleigh, National Marketing Manager, is pleased about the recent appointment. “Intel has always placed great value on the PR Manager role due to the significant amount of IT print, web and news publications and the high calibre of the IT press both here in Australia and New Zealand.  Anna's existing understanding of Intel combined with her strong knowledge of the IT industry make her very well suited to this pivotal role."
Torres is looking forward to the responsibilities of the new role, “I’m excited to be moving into this new position at such an important time in Intel’s history.  This year has seen a lot of changes for us with the launch of Intel Core Microarchitecture. We have also released a number of new products such as the Core 2 Duo and Quad Core range of processors. I’m looking forward to communicating Intel’s new range of products and sharing the company’s future direction”.
Torres is in her final semester at the University of Technology Sydney, studying a Masters in Business Administration majoring in Marketing.
Outside of Intel, Torres also has strong experience in events management, having worked for Eventful Management, producers of SAP related events.
