Recent Grammy® Award and Latin Grammy® winner, US-based Gaby Moreno has just added a Melbourne show (with special guest, Queenie) and a new Sydney date to her forthcoming Australia tour, with her Brisbane Jazz Club show now sold out.

She will return to Brunswick Ballroom on Wednesday, March 20, with a new date at Sydney's Foundry616 on Thursday, March 21.

Moreno will be joined at Brunswick Ballroom by fellow Port Fairy Folk Festival artist Queenie (pictured below right), who will perform solo in what promises to be a night of powerful female vocals and musicianship. Melbourne-based Queenie is a star on the rise, with unique and powerful vocals that can be tender one moment, and visceral the next.

With a career marked by numerous accolades, including an additional two Grammy® nominations, Moreno is returning to Australia with a brand new - already critical lauded - album titled 'Dusk' and a rich swag of much-loved tunes from her eight previous releases.

To see this trailblazer perform is to be awestruck by her breathtaking voice and exquisite guitar flourishes.  She glides back and forth easily and exuberantly between bossa nova, jazz, blues and rock, with English and Spanish lyrics that honour her experiences as a Guatemalan immigrant living in the US.

Moreno's 2023 album, X Mí (Vol. 1)' recently won her first Grammy® Award for Best Latin Pop Album. She also w'on a Latin Grammy® as producer of 'Vida' by Omara Portuondo.   This adds to her many career highlights which include co-writing the theme song for the multi-award-winning TV series Parks and Recreation (NBC) and collaborating with Van Dyke Parks on her 2019 album, ¡Spangled! featuring songs celebrating the migration of music across the Americas. She has performed several times at Lincoln Center in NYC and The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and shared the stage with luminaries Emmy Lou Harris, Bono, Tracy Chapman, Andrea Bocelli, Ani DiFranco, Hugh Laurie and The Copper Bottom Band, Punch Brothers, Chris Thile, Nickel Creek, Buena Vista Social Club, Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings, Taj Mahal, Jackson Browne, Van Dyke Parks and many more.

Billboard magazine described her performance at the Grammy Awards® Premiere Ceremony as "…nothing short of mesmerising."

In what has already become a bumper year for Moreno, she has just released her ninth album, titled Dusk, showcasing her diverse music prowess as she embraces blues, rock n roll and Latin folk, performed in English and Spanish.

She is the first in her country to be honoured as UNICEF goodwill ambassador in Guatemala.

Gaby Moreno's  Australian tour will kick off with her return to Port Fairy Folk Festival on March 8-11, she will then hit the road and perform at Archies Creek Hotel (March 16), Melbourne's Brunswick Ballroom (March 20), Sydney's Foundry 616 (March 21), The Stag and Hunter Hotel in Mayfield (Newcastle - March 22), Brisbane Jazz Club (March 23 - SOLD OUT) and the Majestic Theatre Pomona in the Noosa hinterlands on Sunday, March 24.

Gaby Moreno fans in Sydney, Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula and Healesville can also see her perform with three-part harmony supergroup The SongBirds, alongside Erica Canales and Dannielle De Andrea.  The SongBirds will also be performing at Port Fairy Folk Festival.
