Announcement posted by Topknot Management 12 Mar 2024
What does one of Australia's favourite yoghurt brands and the Sea World Foundation have in common? They are both committed to playing a pivotal role in marine conservation.
In a groundbreaking initiative to contribute to Australian marine conservation efforts, Moo Premium Foods proudly announces a strategic partnership with the Sea World Foundation.
The collaboration will see 10 cents from every Moo yoghurt tub sold donated to the Sea World Foundation. It is anticipated that within 3 months an amount in excess of $50,000 will be donated.
The Sea World Foundation, renowned for its commitment to understanding, protecting, and conserving the marine environment, conducts vital research, rescue missions, and conservation activities. Moo Premium Foods, a leading player in the Australian dairy industry, is not only dedicated to providing premium quality yoghurt products to homes throughout the nation, but also takes a proactive stance in environmental sustainability.
What sets Moo Premium Foods apart is its conscientious choice of packaging - with their yoghurt tubs and lids made with ocean-bound plastics - an Australian first for the food manufacturing industry. This commitment plays a crucial role in preventing plastics from entering the ocean, aligning seamlessly with the Sea World Foundation's mission.
"We are thrilled to partner with the Sea World Foundation in this meaningful endeavour," says Mick Sanders, Founder and CEO of Moo Premium Foods.
"Our shared commitment to environmental responsibility and marine conservation forms the bedrock of this partnership and we thank our retail partner Woolworths for their support and opportunity to reach Australian consumers," he adds.
"By donating a portion of every yoghurt tub sale, we aim to make a tangible impact and contribute significantly to the Foundations cause."
The collaboration between Moo Premium Foods and the Sea World Foundation goes beyond a simple partnership; it represents a united front in making a lasting difference for future generations. The funds raised will support the Foundation's ongoing research, rescue missions, and conservation activities, creating a positive ripple effect in the preservation of marine ecosystems.
"We are incredibly proud and thankful to partner with Moo Premium Foods on this collaboration which will have a positive impact for the marine environment," says Wayne Phillips, Head of Marine Sciences of Sea World Foundation.
"It is wonderful to partner with Moo Premium Foods who share our commitment to environmental responsibility and marine conservation efforts, and we look forward to seeing the partnership rolled out across Woolworths stores.
"The Sea World Foundation conducts hundreds of rescue, research and conservation activities each year, and the donations collected from this collaboration enable us to continue these vital efforts."
To celebrate the partnership launch, Moo is running a competition where the ultimate family holiday is up for grabs. One lucky family of four will win a getaway that includes return airfares to Gold Coast, a 5-night stay at the Sea World Resort, tickets to the Village Roadshow Theme Parks, a dolphin experience at Sea World and more.
To enter, customers simply need to a purchase specially marked Moo yoghurt tub and scan the QR code to enter. The competition is exclusive to Woolworths and can be found on shelves across SA, NSW, VIC, ACT & NT.
