BlaQ Ball Gala Dinner on Friday 10th of May

BlaQ are excited to announce the lineup for our BlaQ Ball 2024!

  • Pamora Fifth from RuPaul's Drag Race Downunder, Season 2
  • Aunty Tamara
  • Buuja Buuja Butterfly Dancers
  • Royston Noell, Winner of Australian Idol, 2023
  • 2Joocee (MC)

BlaQ are celebrating Pride in Culture by booking an array of exceptional talentBe welcomed at the door by RuPauls Drag Race season 2 star Pamora Fifth before entering the lavish Doltone House ballroom to Aunty Nadeena Dixon delivering her beautiful Welcome to Country.

Attendees will be treated to a spiritual performance from the Buuja Buuja Butterfly dancers, accompanied by a local live digeridoo player. Drag sensation Aunty Tamara will be showcasing her Māori heritage as she claims her title as THE Māori Queen. And finally, following in the steps of last years guest performer, Casey Donovan, Australian Idol season 8 winner Royston Noell will be headlining the night with his incredible live vocals. All of this amazing talent will be tied together by the glorious and glossy ribbon that is 2Joocee. Or in BlaQ's opinion, he's just the right amount of Joocee!!!

Not just the talent, you can also expect a sumptuous four course dinner, amazing Archie Rose cocktails, four and a half hour drinks package (the DiBeroli wines are all vegan…so that might help with the hangover) and a photobooth to capture all the beautiful moments. All in the beautiful Doltone House Hyde Park ball room. A goodie bag of awesome swag will also be waiting for each person and a silent auction will give the chance to bid on some exclusive and exciting items and experiences!

It's been a turbulent 12 months, with some gains for community, but also so many hurdles, barriers and lows. BlaQ are hoping to create an oasis that celebrates Pride in Culture, and gives us all a chance to be together in blak excellence.

All funds raised from the BlaQ Ball will go towards creating the Pride in Culture Hub, based in Redfern NSW. Hoping to launch in late 2024, the hub will provide a safe space for Queer mob and aims to provide access to culturally appropriate and useful services.

  • Gender affirming clothing supply
  • Interview and application support
  • Wellbeing and mental health specialises
  • Sexual wellness education
  • Legal, food, and lifestyle resources!

BlaQ would love to party with you. Buy a whole table or individual tickets. Book a place today and join us for a beautiful night with amazing people. All welcome, whether queer, mob, ally, advocate or just love celebrating the pride in your own culture!
