Football Calling – Boost Mobile Expands Ongoing Support Of Australian Sport As New Official Telco Partner of A-Leagues

Announcement posted by Boost Mobile Australia 03 May 2024

"Football has a diverse and passionate fans base and we are very excited to introduce Boost Mobile to fans across the country for the first time through the A-Leagues as a starting point, during the most thrilling time of the season"- Boost Mobile founder Peter Adderton

"Boost Mobile has supported athletes and sports in Australia for over two decades. We see football culture as an intersection of sub-cultures which goes beyond the game itself and crosses over to music, skateboarding, fashion, music, car culture, esports and more."

SYDNEY, Australia, May 3, 2024BOOST MOBILE, the world's largest youth-focused telco brand, has today announced its first foray into Australian football, becoming the official Telco partner and Major Partner of the Isuzu UTE A-League Men's and Liberty A-League Women's Finals Series. The partnership also includes presenting the Boost Young Footballer of the Year as part of A-League Dolan Warren Awards, in addition to being a Major Partner of the upcoming A-League All Stars event, to be held on May 24th at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

The partnership marks the first time that Boost Mobile has taken a significant position in football in Australia, complementing an already-expansive sports sponsorship portfolio that encompasses various naming rights properties across motorsport, surfing, skateboarding and more.

For more than two decades, Boost Mobile has lived at the intersection of sport and culture, where it can positively contribute to Australian sports fans and support the impact that such sports have on communities around the country.

"Boost Mobile is all about fighting for the best possible deals for our customers. Today's announcement expands the reach of the Boost brand at the same time as we are expanding our products and services from mobile to broadband and home internet, which is coming soon. We can't wait to introduce our brand to the Australian football community," said Peter Adderton, Founder of Boost Mobile.

"Football is leading the way in youth participation and is the fastest growing sport in the country. It cultivates some of the most passionate and loyal fans in Australian sport, and we look forward to seeing where our A-Leagues partnership with their Finals and All-Stars Event takes us. We are excited to be a part of the game as we further explore Australian football culture and its impact beyond the game into areas such as street culture, fashion and more." he continued.

'We're excited to be welcoming Boost Mobile to the A-Leagues partner family. Boost has shown across its existing partnerships that its level of support for the partner sport and athletes is unmatched. We're excited to see how they bring to life our partnership across the A-Leagues Finals Series and A-League All Stars, no doubt creating value for our fans in the process' said APL's Commissioner, Nick Garcia, APL Commissioner.
