Wyse Technology, the global leader in thin computing, today announced Wyse Device Manager (WDM) 4.7, the new version of the company’s thin computing device management software that enables IT departments to centrally manage and control a host of intelligent devices with the protection of the most comprehensive security features in the industry. Wyse Device Manager 4.7 is scalable to fit the IT needs of both large and small companies with a no-hassle deployment, management tools for device administration and monitoring, and complete asset visibility.
Wyse Device Manager 4.7 is a software management suite for thin clients providing the tools IT administrators need to track each hardware device and accompanying software in their organization- with support for up to 100,000 or more simultaneously connected units. With a simple-to-use central console containing remote diagnostic capabilities, Wyse Device Manager 4.7 increases productivity by reducing the amount of desktop visits for IT staff.
Wyse has added significant new security features to Wyse Device Manager 4.7 to increase the protection of customers' IT infrastructures. Designed to meet the highest levels of security requirements for networks carrying financial transactions including the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), Device Manager 4.7 is fully encrypted for network traffic and offers secure device management features including self-signed HTTPS Certificate Authentication, secure imaging through HTTPS, and imaging through HTTP/FTP.
