Announcement posted by Maverick PR 19 Sep 2008
Supported by all Australian carriers (Optus, Vodafone, 3, Virgin, Telstra) MOKO is primarily designed to be used on a mobile handset with PC use secondary.
MOKO differentiates itself from the likes of Facebook and MySpace (but is set to rival them in a big way) because where these sites are aimed at keeping up to date with your current network of friends, MOKO is all about making new friends and being able to reach out to groups of people (with similar interests) that may not have been possible previously.
To give you some background, MOKO is very community centric - once you join MOKO you become part of the MOKO community and then what we term a ‘Mokie’.
This means girls can connect with each other anywhere they go - whether that means finding a great shop, a place to have a cocktail or a new bestie with similar interests.
MOKO is an Australian company that is currently expanding globally, we have both the CEO Ian Rodwell and Director Paul Grueber in Sydney next week on September 23, 24 and 25 and both are available for briefing on MOKO and its offering.
We will also have a real life Mokie (named the countess – a MOKO celebrity) with us to bring to life what the MOKO community is all about – there are some weird and wonderful characters that absolutely love the site!
