Leading Australian Biltong Producer Signs New Deal To Expand Retail Availability

Announcement posted by D.Jays Gourmet 12 Nov 2024

Leading beef biltong and jerky producer, DJays Gourmet, has significantly bolstered its national retail supply network through a new deal with Coles Express and Reddy Express.

The partnership will see a range of DJays dried meat snacks stocked in 385 Coles Express and Reddy Express fuel station sites across Australia and will further entrench the company's market leadership.

"Premium quality and total customer satisfaction were paramount when our family started the business nearly 40 years ago, and commitment to these core values remains as strong as ever today," said DJays spokesperson Arron Zamel.

"This Coles Express and Reddy Express deal is fantastic news for customers right around Australia who want immediate access to their favourite jerky and biltong - plus it opens up a world of opportunity to welcome new members to the DJays fan club."

With their low carbohydrate and high protein content, plus the added benefit of essential minerals and vitamins, biltong and jerky are becoming increasingly sought after from a nutritional profile, convenience and lifestyle perspective.  The Coles Express/Reddy Express announcement is the latest in a string of moves which will enable DJays to meet this increasing consumer demand for convenience and quality when it comes to healthier snack options.

DJays also recently announced that another of its key retail partners - petroleum giant Ampol - had added a number of new products to the existing DJays range carried in their national network of fuel stations.  The expanded offering includes new flavours of biltong and jerky as well as the aptly-named 'Truckin' Good Jerky' - giving new meaning to customers wishing to fuel up.

"Dried meat products have always been popular as healthier, easy to eat, on-the-go snacks because of their nutritional make-up, their taste and their longevity.  Now with a wide range of our biltong and jerky products available at Coles Express, Reddy Express and Ampol fuel stations all across Australia, it's never been easier or more convenient for health-conscious meat-lovers to get hold of their favourite snacks while they're out on the road," he added.

"Whilst our ecommerce business is well-established and offers express delivery nationwide for all online orders, we are constantly investigating new wholesale and retail opportunities in order to make it even quicker and easier for customers to access our products" he said.  To this end, DJays Gourmet participated in the C&I Expo held in Melbourne recently - the largest of its kind in Australia.

The trade show attracted exhibitors from across the country as well as from the Asia Pacific region who showcased their products and services to the target audience of convenience business owners and operators.

"Experience has taught us the value of representation at industry events - and the C&I Expo certainly provided an important platform for us to present our unique offering, attract the attention of a wider group of convenience and impulse retailers and build mutually rewarding partnerships."

And in yet another move aimed at heightening brand awareness and strengthening its reputation, DJays will soon reveal a revamped corporate identity which will include innovative product packaging and a fresh, new look.

"It's been a very busy few months for the DJays team and there are exciting times ahead with the expanded retail reach and our new identity, but one thing is for certain.  Our reputation and market leadership were built on exacting standards of product and service excellence - and we will continue to deliver those same standards to each and every customer, regardless of their size", he said.
