Like father, like daughter: Jim’s Penman’s daughter Sylvia Penman launches Jim’s Removals

At just 22, Sylvia Penman, daughter of Jim Penman, founder of the Jim's Group, has launched her own venture, Jim's Removals, together with her partner Danny Ganino.
 

This new division extends Australia's largest franchise network into the removals sector. Sylvia combines her early experience in the Jim's Group with practical knowledge of the moving industry. She has a double degree in Philosophy and Chinese from the University of Melbourne.
 

"I have grown up in a family living and learning about business and the benefits it can bring to people's lives as business owners and as customers and I am excited to now be in a position to be launching my very own business that will extend the Jim's Group legacy into the moving industry," Ms Penman said.
 

"I have worked in the industry for a number of years gaining experience in removals and I have also worked within the Jim's Group as well.
 

"Studying philosophy and Chinese may seem like an unusual platform for the removals industry, but it has provided me with extraordinary insight into how to manage issues and make decisions.
 

"Philosophy has given me the tools to consider issues thoroughly, explore solutions and put a practical, sensible framework around decision-making."
