Townsville Fire steal the victory from Adelaide Lightning in an exciting finish

Game Summary

The Townsville Fire stole victory from the Adelaide Lightning for the second week in a row, in a similar comeback fashion to their last matchup. 

Adelaide started the game off strong however Townsville stuck with them, as the two teams headed into the main break with only 2 points separating them. 

Steph Talbot, Isobel Borlase and Brianna Turner led from the front as the Lightning threatened to run away with the game going on a 21-8 run in the third quarter. However déjà vu from last week set in, as Townsville fired up to put on a massive last quarter comeback keeping Adelaide to only 7 points. 

Courtney Woods was once again magnificent for Townsville having 25 points including the heroic buzzer beater shot to give Townsville the win. 

Isobel Borlase led Adelaide's scoring with 18 points whilst Brianna Turner dominated the paint with a stellar 14 rebounds. 

Lauren Cox continued to be a headache for the Lightning in the paint, having 4 blocks whilst also adding 12 points.
