Game Summary

Bendigo, off the back of a win in Townsville, walk into Sydney and take their third win in a row. Bendigo lead at the the start, and outscoring Sydney in every quarter but the last. However, their lead was too large for Sydney to come back from and claimed another dominant win as they improve to 14-2.

 

Bendigo did what they usually do, getting everyone involved and not leaving the burden up to just one player, with 5 players scoiring in double figures. Sami Whitcomb had another special night, 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. However, it was Kelsey Griffin who shined tonight with 18 points, 13 rebounds, four assists andthree steals, contributing all over the floor to help secure the Spirit win. 

 

It was the turnovers that let Sydney down tonight, coughing up 19 to Bendigo's eight, leading to 26 points from turnovers for the Spirit. The shining light for Sydney was Celeste Taylor dropping 20 points, 10 of which were in the first quarter.
