Carbon Positive Australia is delighted to announce its new Chief Executive Officer - Joe Heffernan. This leadership transition marks an exciting new chapter in the environmental non-profit's mission to restore regional and urban biodiversity, to plant native trees, and to inspire all Australians to take positive action for climate and nature.
Joe brings a wealth of experience in environmental leadership, not-for-profit management, and sustainability innovation, along with a passion for creating impactful and lasting change. Under his guidance, Carbon Positive Australia will continue to drive it's vision of a greener, healthier Australia while exploring new opportunities to expand their reach and impact.
Joe is committed to supporting the organisation to grow its capability to act as an effective partner to Traditional Owners across Australia. Carbon Positive Australia will continue to support Traditional Owner aspirations based upon culturally informed land use for ecological restoration.

Louise has played a pivotal role in shaping the success and future direction of Carbon Positive Australia. She will continue to support the organisation in her new role as a Board member.
