24/25 WNBL Season - Round 15

Game Summary

The Perth Lynx inch closer to a home final after a confident performance against the Geelong United. The Lynx played with conviction, shooting the lights out from the field. Geelong were solid but couldn't finish on their opportunities, leaving them with a disappointing loss.

Perth performed as an entire team, with four players scoring in double figures, including Miela Sowah, who led with 22 points. Steph Gorman had a breakout game, playing some finals-like form, completing the match with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Perth's stellar field goal percentage, shooting at 54%, won them the game.

As for Geelong, Jaz Shelley was again the star, scoring an impressive 25 points and shooting at 43% from the arc. Alex Sharp and Hannah Hank also put up 16 and 12 points respectively. It was a quiet game for Haley Jones, and the Lynx effectively nullified her influence.

Both teams have one more game of the regular season, where Perth are looking to cement their top 2 spot against Townsville Fire while Geelong look to end the season strong against the Adelaide Lightning.
