Entries for Brisbane's biggest short film festival are now open!
Located in Brisbane Australia within one of Australia's best cinemas within one of Brisbane's coolest precincts is the internationally acclaimed Australia Independent Film Festival. The festival screens at Palace | James Street which is a world-class cinema that boasts cutting-edge sound, state-of-the-art digital projection, and unparalleled comfort.

Founded in 2017 AIFF has grown from strength to strength and is now a prominent event on the international festival circuit. In 2022 AIFF was ranked in the top 30 best reviewed film festivals on FilmFreeway out of over 10,000 registered festivals.
AIFF25 will next take place in Brisbane at Palace | JAMES STREET Brisbane this November 7th and 8th.

AIFF accepts screenplay submissions up to 40 pages and film submissions up to 40 minutes in duration, in the form of both fiction and non-fiction shorts. Categories include Animation, Documentary, Experimental, and Live Action.
